Why Use Camper Van Rentals For Camping?

Blog

If you're going camping, you should consider renting a camper van. They're just big enough to do the job, but not so big that they're hard to maneuver through crowded streets. Since you're renting it, you'll save a lot of money compared to purchasing one.

Camper vans also have many advantages over tents, as they're on wheels, have a built-in power source, etc. If you want to enjoy a camping trip and be as comfortable as possible, renting a camper van is a good option.

Here are some of the reasons it's wise to rent a camper van for your camping trip:

No Need for a Tent

When most people think of camping, they picture sleeping in a tent. However, tents are small, uncomfortable, not great at keeping out moisture, etc. When you rent a camper van, you can sleep in it, so you don't need to bring a tent.

No Need to Haul a Trailer

When some people go camping but don't want to use a tent, they may decide to tow a trailer behind their car or truck. If you don't have a lot of experience towing trailers, you may find it difficult to do, which can lead to dangerous situations. Trailers tend to rock back and forth due to uneven weight distribution, wind, etc., so you're much better off renting a camper van.

No Commitment

If you want to get all the benefits that camper vans provide, but don't want to make a big commitment, renting one is your best option. You can use the camper for your trip, and return it once you're done using it. That way, you'll save lots of money while still having access to the camper when you need it.

Drive Right up to Campsite

In some cases, you may need to hike to get to a camping spot, or park in a parking lot and lug your tent to your campsite. If you plan on renting a camper van, you will be staying somewhere that you can drive right up to your camping spot. It's nice not needing to lug anything, as it will all be located inside the camper already.

Access to Power

Since a camper van needs power to drive, you can access that power while you camp. If you need to charge your phone, use lights, etc., you can run the camper to access power from the battery without draining it.

Camping: More Than Sleeping in the Woods

When you hear the word "camping," what comes to mind? You might picture someone sleeping in the woods, perhaps in a tent or a hammock. Indeed, this is camping. A big part of camping is sleeping in the woods, or at least out in nature. However, camping can also be so much more than that. It's an opportunity to re-connect with nature and to disconnect from technology. It's a chance to cook over an open fire, tell stories around that fire, and spend time with those you love most. All in all, camping can be an incredible experience, and we're excited to write about it on this blog.
